Each appraisal provides a professional valuation based on lineage, size, condition, and current market data. Clients receive a written appraisal report with supporting detail suitable for insurance, estate, and private documentation.

Appraisals are completed remotely by submitting a clear video (minimum 20 seconds) along with supporting photographs through our secure online form. This allows for evaluation without transport or unnecessary stress to the koi.

Most appraisals are completed within 5–7 business days. Expedited services may be available upon request.

Yes. Remote appraisals are available for koi located outside the United States, provided sufficient video and photographic documentation can be supplied.

Valuation is determined by several factors including bloodline, body shape, skin luster, color quality, pattern balance, age, and overall health. Market demand and rarity also influence appraisal outcomes.

Our appraisals are prepared as professional valuation reports suitable for insurance documentation, estate planning, private sales, and collector records. Acceptance is subject to the requirements of the requesting institution or insurer.

Appraisal reports are delivered digitally as a written valuation document suitable for insurance, estate, and private records. Printed copies may be available upon request, subject to additional handling and delivery arrangements.

Yes. Appraisals may be updated as a koi matures or its condition changes, subject to a new evaluation request.

On-site appraisals and private consultations may be available on a limited basis and are subject to location, scope, and scheduling considerations. Please contact us to discuss availability.

If submitted materials are insufficient for evaluation, you will be contacted with guidance on what additional clarity or documentation is required before the appraisal can be completed.

Due to the professional and specialized nature of appraisal services, fees are non-refundable once an evaluation has begun. If there are issues with submitted materials or scope, we will work with the client to address them prior to completion.
